I guess you aren't referring to the Tru-Trak

It has no lights, gives excellent bank info (no pitch info) and can be left
off until needed as it "erects" within 3 seconds even if you're cranked over
in a steep turn. It's available in a 1 minute turn rate version (best for
gliders) and costs about $450 USD. I'm happy with mine.

I am not speaking of the Tru-Trak turn and bank and would not expect
the turn and bank to be used as a horizon.
I am speaking of the Tru-Trak ADI that gives light indications when
pitch and bank are over 30 deg.
I consider the MGL to be more informative at all pitch and bank
angles.
