decision for the 'full' colonoscopy -- there may be more polyps. A good
friend of mine didn't opt for the full colonoscopy after the Dr found a
polyp with a sigmoidoscopy -- his outlook with the colon cancer 4 years
later is not good.


Yes, I agree wholeheartedly. The VA gave me the option of the easy way
or the full Monty which I chose. My primary care doc explained that the
Sigmoidoscopy can "miss things". When it comes to wearing a colostomy
bag, I would just as soon not have them "miss" anything even if it is
only peanuts.
