There has yet to be, at least that I can find, a single case of the holder
of a CCW permit using his/her firearm in any way other than in legal self
defense. There is no good reason that a citizen of this country who has no
criminal history and has passed a training program shouldn't be allowed to
protect himself.

Why should he have to go beg the state for permission to protect himself?
