Apparently Saddam kept the lake well stocked for his amusement. The
T/Sgt doing the fishing said in his letter that the MREs made excellent
bait, and the trout he caught made an excellent replacement for the
MREs.

I would wager the MRE cost the taxpayers a damn sight more than $1.50,
and that rod -- even without the reel -- rather more than $20.

But it's still funny and entirely apposite in Field & Stream.
