With a reasonable headwind a Zenith CH701 could do it.

One of those Slepcev Storchs could definitely do it.

A Storch is almost a helicopter. It would be a lot of fun to build and
fly one.


I know someone who is building the Pazmany version.Most guys are doing
the Slepcev version which is much simpler. It's 3/4 scale and it;s still
huge! Unbelievably complicated too. They had to make their own landing
gear oleos, for instance. and the slat system is unbelievable. Make a
great airplane when it's done. Too bad it will have a Lycoming and not
an Argus or some other V8

The Storchs do look more hefty than the Zeniths, but I wonder how
their actual performance compares. I have seen many videos of the 701
fly (incredible). I haven't yet seen a video of the Storchs fly,
although I've read many write ups.
