The Dutch half of the island only uses the Dutch language in official
matters. Most of the population only speak English. Besides: it is only a
matter of being a good host. Would any US tourist understand a sign that
says:

"GEVAAR
Straalwinden veroorzaakt door vertrekkende en aankomende vliegtuigen
kunnen zwaar lichamelijk letsel veroorzaken, resulterend in extreem
blijvend letsel en/of de dood."
