Hi Todd,
Good question. The idea is simple - Customers have long complained that
every time their PDA or GPS dies they need to get a new GN II password -
usually urgently. I get a lot of phone calls from customers at contests
that need new passwords immediately so they can go fly for the day. We
therefore created a new version that has the password tied to the pilot's
name rather than the PDA or GPS. There are no other new features. The new
password will work with any PDA or GPS. If that is not attractive to you,
then you don't need to buy a new password. Many customers have expressed
thanks for the new version because they don't want to worry about which PDA
or GPS they are using. As with all things related to Glide Navigator II,
the goal is to make it simple to use and reliable.

Did I miss something here? New version will cost me money (current GN
user) and the only new feature I get for my money is a new licensing
scheme?
I know of more than a few roads around here and several petrol station
forecourts that would have that trailer suspended by its ends
