Airline Delays in 2007 Were Second Worst Ever, With More Than 26
Percent of Flights Late

WASHINGTON (AP) -- A quarter of domestic flights failed to arrive on
time in 2007 -- the industry's second poorest performance on record
-- and analysts say it is likely to get worse.

More than 26 percent of commercial flights in the U.S. arrived late
or were canceled last year as rising passenger demand and an
industry preference for smaller planes intensified congestion in the
skies and on runways. The air-travel logjam, reported Tuesday by the
Department of Transportation, comes as a growing number of air
traffic controllers near retirement age -- a trend the controllers'
union says will magnify the problem.

It is good to know the FAA is EXPANDING their civil rights
and management staff while the Air Traffic control system turns to
****.

Government at work

The FAA needs more desk jockeys and management staff the hell with
Air Safety!!

Moron, What effect does FAA staffing or civil rights have to do with
"...rising passenger demand and an industry preference for smaller
planes..."

Dear Moron(squared)

It is the FAA's responsibility to regulate and oversee the Nations Air
Traffic control system.

If there is chaos in the skies and record delays and retiring/****ed
off FAA controllers and technicians and degrading safety if the FAA is
not responsible.......

So you are saying that somehow FAA hiring and staffing practices effect
"...rising passenger demand and an industry preference for smaller
planes...?"

Please explain.

You will agree less large aircraft and more small aircraft
demand a need for more technology and controllers correct?

The FAA is ****ing off their controller workforce and
expanding their management and civil rights staff.

What does FAA management and FAA civil rights positions got
to do with moving aircraft? Answer? Nothing. Nada.

But the FAA continues to expand the desk jockey and
management sycophant positions.

Remember, chaos in the sky and degraded safety is OK under
the Bush Administration as long as.....

1. Big political contractors make money
2. Unions are destroyed
3. FAA Government managers(sycophants)support contractors
and screw over the Government employees.

If the Air Traffic control system suffers and/or people die
who gives a fig?

Under the Bush Administration the following are loved

1. Lawyers
2. Big Business
3. Management Sycophants who kiss contractor ass
4. Expanding Washington DC empires
5. OIL

The hated are...

1. Unions
2. Workers
3. Airline safety "requirements"

Get a grip. The FAA and our airways are in a tail spin
The big crash is coming any day

9/11 in the air over America. Again. Soon.
