Default Tinkertoy in the pattern

Many of the privately owned former military aircraft have paint schemes and
markings of their old squadrons. Some have markings that have nothing to do
with where the aircraft actually served but show the markings, colors and
numbers of the squadron where the owner/relative of owner/etc flew.
Spectators know the aircraft is not on active service because the military
don't fly that model anymore. You can always look around the aircraft for
the small registration numbers. In the case of this TT-1 it's just aft of
the US NAVY markings. Gotta comply with federal laws no matter what color
you paint your bird......

is it not odd that a private A/C has NAVY markings?

This Temco TT-1 is owned by Lewis Shaw of Dallas, Texas.

The pilot of the TT-1 was Ashley Ezell, son of Nelson Ezell, the
owner of Ezell Aviation in Breckenridge, Texas.
