It sure is a great shot.
For civilian equivalents of this kind of pictures go to Maho beach on Sint
Maarten (Dutch West Indies).
Maho beach is under the only approach to the runway of Princess Juliana
airport. You can stand approx. 100 metres from the touchdown point of
arriving airliners on the centerline of the runway. Impressive, to say the
least.
For those of a more relaxed attitude: move approx. 100 metres south and take
a seat at the Sunset Beach Bar and watch the airliners land and take off.
