A Valiant B1 of No 148 Squadron based at RAF Marham lands at
RAF Luqa in Malta. This was the first time that the British
V-bomber force had been in action, and XD814 was was the first
aircraft to bomb during the Anglo-French intervention in the Suez
Crisis in Egypt during October 1956
