What in the hell is a "Bunyip"??

A bunyip is a legendary spirit or creature of the Australian
Aborigine. Bunyips haunt rivers, swamps, creeks and
billabongs. Their main goal in life is to cause nocturnal
terror by eating people or animals in their vicinity. They
are renowned for their terrifying bellowing cries in the
night and have been known to frighten Aborigines to the
point where they would not approach any water source where a
bunyip might be waiting to devour them.

That is real weird

It's a living.

So it's basically the same as a boogyman. Except the boogyman

doesn't
make noise, he just hides quietly in the closet (or the bushes if
outdoors) and sneaks out to get you while you're sleeping or

otherwise
not paying attention.

Amateurs.

Bertie

Well, it's probably better *not* to make noise. Why warn the prey and
give it a chance to flee or assume a defensive posture? Surprise

attack
is one of the most valuable tactics of the successful legendary
terrifying spirit-creature.

But mine are all attacted to noise!
You've met Maxwell and buttman!
