No, that is the wreckage of an airplane. In the foreground is the tail
with the horizontal stabilizer to the left. I have no clue how that poor
man ended up where he did. It might be possible to get a rough idea of
the age of the photo by learning when that style of photo paper (with
the scalloped edges) came in to use.
The guy in the leather helmet (presumably the pilot) doesn't look too
bad, particularly if you flip the pic thro' 180 deg ;-) Bit hard to
see where he is, let alone how he got there.
