This is a 'Continuous Wave Tracking Radar' which sent a continuous stream of
microwave energy to the target which the missle homed in on. We called it
the 'CW' in Uncle Sam's Motorcycle Club (USMC).
There was a rumor that some guy was working up on this thing and it was
running and he was cooked. And this was long before you could buy a
'microwave oven'.
