The rules for World Championships are in Annex A to the Sporting
Code,

Many other competitions also use these rules, to save the organisers
making separate rules.

On TP radius, Annex A says:

7.5 TURN POINTS AND ASSIGNED AREAS
7.5.1 The Observation Zone for a GNSS Turn Point shall be a cylinder
of radius 0.5 km, centered on the turn point.
