I'd noticed a handful of local posts (including my own), but nothing else.
I've called Optusnet twice now. The first time, they tried to tell me that
they didn't support newsgroups (what bull ****!) and the second time they
claimed there was nothing wrong (more BS).

Yeah mate if your in OZ and using Optus as I am, you will only get local
stuff at the moment, as I am. There is an outage at the moment. They said
it will be about 48 hours till is is back to normal. That was Saturday.
