SAAB and EUROFIGHTER question

Can anyone give me a rundown as to which air craft is the best and the
salient points for the reasons
The Eurofighter Typhoon is, probably, a better pure air superiority machine
than the SAAB Grippen. However, the Grippen is by far a better overall
fighter, especially as the lead the Typhoon has in air superiority isn't that
great.
Neither of the two are likely to dethrone the current king of fighter
aircraft, the Su-27 and derivatives thereof, which is considerably better
than the F-15 and at least as good as the F-22.
The Saab aircraft , I would assume cost much less to build than the
Eurofighter but would that decrease its effectiveness in a dog fight
The main reason the Grippen won't sell to the people who will by the Typhoon
is the same reason why those people bought Tornadoes when Viggens were
demonstrably superior. (Especially the RAF, which bought Tornado ADVs which
were _utterly useless_, as their radars had to be removed and replaced by
concrete balast 'cause they didn't bloody work for _years_. The concrete's
gone now, but the radars still don't work the way they were supposed to. A
long-range interceptor which doesn't have a working radar is, basically, a
large lawn dart. The IDS version of the Tornado worked quite well, despite a
high loss rate in Desert Storm, so it wasn't a design problem.) Basically,
it's politics. The Swedes aren't a member of the EuroClub, so they'll get
frozen out.
