Do you have FSX? What you could do is to completely shut off the
engines in midair, deploy the undercarriage, and record the sound.

...this is going to be the most interesting NTSB report to read in
a while... (with sound effects no less :-)

Huh? Recording a toy flight simulator making a dead stick landing is
going to cause a crash?

Only in Mx's definition would that be anything but a non-situation. g
