Default Source for Metric/liters water meter?

you can get meter that will be accurate at these very low flow rates but
you'll find they are very expensive, typically $500-$600
the Electronic water meters I sell are designed to operate accurately at
rates of 3 GPM which should be acceptable for most glider filling
applications...but at less than 1/2 GPM I think you are going to need the
expensive water meter to be accurate there

I bought a terrific unit from Wings and Wheels. It is avaialble in

gave me a garden hose connection with a shut off, and on the outgoing

I have the same electronic meter. I find it to be very repeatable but
not very accurate at the flow rates typically used to fill wings. If
you want to measure the same quantity into each wing it works very
well. If you want to meter a known quantity into each wing you should
probably do a calibration at the flow rate that will be used to fill
the glider.

The flow rate I achieve when filling with a bilge pump (approx 16 gals
in 9 minutes) is well below the calibrated range of the meter.

My weight and balance spread sheet includes the meter calibration. I
keep a graph of metered volume vs wing loading in the glider and use
that to set the glide computer.
