Default GPS Out of service??

Do you normally fly with two GPS systems,
or just when you're getting ready for a contest? Running them from
different power systems, and separating the cabling and antennae may
cure the problem.

I normally fly a Std Libelle with two GPS receivers in the UK:

1) a Garmin GPS II+ on the battery box lid driving my EW model D.
This is powered from both batteries via diodes for auto power switch.

2) a GPS in a flexi-mount on the panel, powered directly from one of
the batteries. Up to the end of last season this was a Garmin
GPS II+ with an external active antenna mounted in front of the panel.
This season its been replaced by a Binatone X.350 PNA (internal
antenna) mounted and powered the same way.

I have never had a loss of signal during the three years I've been using
this setup.
