I've been doing a bit of digging. Apparently the dog is going to be
referred-to as "Nigsey".

Last time the film was on TV here, I'm afraid to say that they had
clumsily edited out any references to the dog's name that might cause
offence. Consequently the scene where the dog gets knocked down and killed
just before the raid was a complete nonsensical mess.
