There has been a midair today - sounds as if the glider pilot
parachuted out, but no word about the occupant(s) of the light
aircraft. From the BBC photo[1] it looks like G-CXHZ, which is an LS4.

Better photograph in today's Metro G-CKHT, Standard Cirrus.

This follows a fatality yesterday[2] and another at the Mynd two weeks
ago[2] - a friend there tells me it was a spin in off the wire.

I have been contacted with a gnomic suggestion that this description
was wrong, but unfortunately the gnome didn't say what exactly
happened. I am more than happy to make clear that my Mynd contact may
have got it wrong.

Sad news.
Condolences to all involved.
