Could you let me know what your favored explanation is?

I'd be grateful if you could answer this as "Bear Bottoms" rather

You have still miserably failed to provide us with any sort of
substantial proof of anything you've written. As it stands, it's
merely your belief, and nothing more, that Bear Bottoms and David
W are one and the same person.

You claim it is no coincidence that they happened to be posting
around the same time. But surely you can understand why that is no
reason to believe they are the same person. That happens quite
frequently here in Usenet.

It's alright if you wish to believe in your "Theory of Sameness",
but I must ask that you show us some non-circumstantial evidence
to back up your opinion (which is all it actually is). Otherwise,
I'm afraid you're going to have a very difficult time getting
anyone here to subscribe to your conjecture.

I can save you some time. I have never posted as anyone but
myself...Bear Bottoms. Franklin is a nut case.

Worse, he's claiming to be a pilot in several other threads,
here and elsewhere.

I dunno what the job title would be, but in the UK legal
profession we have women called "legal secretaries" ...they do
all the preparation of legal reports and contracts, leases etc
and over time become well acquainted with all the right legal
terminology. Even though they're not lawyers they can often
talk sensibly about legal matters, even knowing what law covers
this or that.

I imagine in the US Navy/Airforce when a pilot returns from a
mission, he drafts a report and there are/were staff who prepare
all that formally on his behalf before it's filed away.

If anything, that might be where Franklin fitted in, it would
explain his scatty knowledge of flying terminology and his once
claimed typing speed, not to mention his eloquent writing style.
If true, it adds to my view that HE might be a SHE.
