Â* Â* We recently lengthened and widened the Darwin airport Â*(about 40
miles east of lone pine). Â*It is now a good land out strip for glider
pilots. Â*These are the coordinates wikipedia gives for the town;
36°16′05″N 117°35′30″W. Â*The runway is approximately 2000' long and
pretty wide. Â*Let people in the sport know if you could. Â*Thanks.

A couple of months ago we checked out Darwin. It is 60'X2200' dirt
strip, that slopes to the south some. The south end is overgrown,
otherwise ok.You can look at the more detailed discription at;
