To expand on that, we do know that at least one of the SGS 2-32
gliders used in Lockheed's Q-star program under Stan Hall was returned
to its original configuration and went into service in Colorado. But I
don't think that makes it a "Lockheed Glider."
Thanks, Bob K.
Correct. The glider was a Vietnam veteran Q-Star which was then
returned to it's original Schweizer 2-32 specs and the original
airworthiness certificate by the late Bruce Miller. It's a really
nice glider with an interesting history - I have a fair number of
flights in it. Nice bit of flying on the part of the 2-32 pilot.
The collision is a really sad story with 'at least 3' and 'up to 5'
dead according to local TV news. I haven't heard anything about the
Pawnee either.
