It's due to the hot gazes coming out the exhaust pipes, as on the enclosed
picture, behind and below the fuselage. The background is "only" out of
focus, but the plume is blurred more than that.

Perhaps more obvious on this one, on both sides of the engine. There
are two zones, differenly blurred.
