Pre-empting any formal investigation....it's pretty clear he stalled the
aircraft during a high alpha pass.

A high alpha pass is by definition stalled. Reports say the right engine popped
and spat out sparks. Compressor stall or more likely engine failure at a time
where the engine is providing most of the lift and can not quit would be my
guess, but that is only guessing from witness's accounts
