During the WGC 2010 in Szeged, were held two conference of the OSTIV
in the briefing hangar. I was in both of them, and recorded as much as
my pocket camera could.
The first one was about the Concordia project, Antares 23E, the
boundary layer suction, and some more interesting topics (I will
upload it soon). And the second was related to safety in glider
contest, and this is the link of that video:

Thanks for posting. Does anybody know if/where slides are available
from the talk.
The idea of introducing of a voluntary list of things pilots can pick
from and be granted points for is interesting.
But Ostiv seeming to just not wanting to push for Flarm to be mandated
in a contest is just weird. And the sort of the idea that the right
thing to do is to let people pick from a list of technology even when
things like Flarm benefit from fleet wide adoption. Interesting that
several of the pilots in the audience picked up on the Flarm issue. I
just do not get the though process going on there.
The statistics quoted in the video for international contests miss
many fatal accidents in national and below contests. While they are
outside direct IGC control there really have to be useful stats there
that just should not be missed.
