I got them all, even with btinternet!

Aww, they ain't too bad now, "展奄rdo. ;~) When I joined them back in
1998 the news servers were very flakey and prone to falling over. Since
they pensioned these off a few (5?) years ago to take a newsfeed from
Giganews I've had few probs with them. BT e-mail can be a bit
temperamental once in awhile and www is not always too fast but, and 10
yars ago I thought I'd never say this, I'm quite content with the
service I get from them.

Do you have probs with them ?

Hi Dingo,

Well, it was a case of moving house from a Virgin Media cable area, with
all the bells and whistles, to an area which hasn't even got round to
LLU, or whatever it is. Then there's the fact that, despite having
assured me that the broadband service would be up and running by
mid-April, it actually took three weeks longer. Unfortunately they
didn't bother to tell me at the time, and the last thing that their
help-lines do is actually put you in touch with someone who can help.

In essence it was a saga of incompetence punctuated by bursts of
ineptitude! Typical, though, of an ex-nationalised industry which seems
desperately keen to still think in monopoly terms and sod the customer -
I had exactly the same problem with British Gas when it came to service
and attitude!

The exchange is due to be upgraded within the next month or so and, now
that BT have been stopped doing their rip-off act with regard to early
cancellation charges - effective from October - I may well look elsewhere.

Hmm, seeing your posting I must revisit the Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation
Museum. It was October 2007 when I last visited - most enjoyable.

Regards,
