I just returned from my annual glider flying visit to Bitterwasser in
the African
country of Namibia - it is my 14th consecutive season of glider flying
at Bitterwasser -
this past season I flew 6 flights over 1000 km - the longest was 1206
km -
my total flights over 1000 km during the past 14 seasons is 56 (fifty-
six) -
collectively all pilots flew 150 flights over 1000 km from
Bitterwasser this
past season - a new record - surpassing the 130 flights a couple
seasons ago -
