It have tried using the virtual machine running Windows XP and
enabling hardware virtualization but get the same issue.

My NANO connect to a Windows 7 Home 64 bit machine. It also
downloaded the latest Config program automatically.

Did you make sure the NANO was off when you connected to the USB.
