Hey everyone,
I just started my soaring blog on the SSA website. I am learning to
fly cross country out of Boulder, CO with the SSB, and will use this
space to talk about my adventures, flights, and what I've been
learning. I will be flying at Region 9 with our contest mentor
program, and a lot of the content will have to do with this as well.
Take care,
Reed
Please consider adding some of your stories to the Soaring Cafe atwww.SoaringCafe.com.
Gentlemen,
Problem is now fixed. Kind of a tricky spot to put that draft button.
Once things get going I will definitely post on the Cafe. Great site!

Hello Reed,
* I left a 'comment' on your Blog, mostly just to ops check that
function. *I still had to use the member locator to find your blog.
I'm not sure how the blogs make their way to the 'Member Blogs' page,
but it is apparently not instant or automatic.
worked for me to go to News and Information and then Member Blogs on
the ssa.org home page- Hide quoted text -

Interestingly, I did that first, and didn't find Reed's blog. *Then I
navigated to his page via the member locator, left a comment on his
blog, then exited. *A few minutes later I revisited the SSA.org site,
went to News and Information, then member blogs, and there it was!
Magic.
Note that when Doug Easton migrated the SSA web site, it became
blogosphere. *Personal pages, committee pages, and others are blogs.
A few are administrative edit only, especially those with data table
linkages. *Essentially, a member can edit their space, committees can
edit their space, add pages, and announce to the world. *Now, there
are also RSS feeds that can be subscribed to generally or
specifically. *It's possible to subscribe to the activity of a single
committee for example, and if that committee uses their space, you'll
be notified.
It's really quite a powerful web site.
I've just subscribed to SSA Member Blogs. *Keep me entertained.
