Default Recorder Serial Number

Trying to get my new Android device configured with XCSoar and I'm faced
with the question of my recorder serial number. Can I recover that from
one of the log files or do I have to trek to the airport (it's snowing
outside), hook up, and read the serial number from the CAI-302?

The logs I've got on my Android are of the form, XCS-AAA-nn, where nn is a
one-up number. It doesn't seem that XCS-AAA would be a serial number.

The serial number is in the filename of every flight log. I went to the OLC
website and
checked your latest flight. The filename was:

1bkc3ci1.igc

The first 3 digits are the flight date in alphanumeric form: year-month-day.

The fourth digit is the manufacturer code: c for Cambridge.

The fifth through seventh digits are the serial number: 3ci

The eighth digit is the number of the flight: 1st flight that day.

Though Mr. Scigala may be correct that XCSoar won't care what three digits
you use, you might as well use "3ci" to keep everything consistent.
