The many attempts to accommodate the protected beasts on the airfield
in the grassy areas have failed, since they ended up digging up both
the access road and runway. *(A couple of years ago at Region 9 there,
a prairie dog popped his head up in the middle of the runway ahead of
me as I started my take-off run.) *The damage to the runways and other
infrastructure has led to the latest attempts to keep them out. *We
shall see!
I'm afraid the Rodenator and other gas or explosive-based means are
not permitted to be used on protected species. *That would have been
my choice too!

Is there a "grassy knoll" near the grassy areas?
I always find a .22 caliber lead injector works well....
