As we have stated elsewhere already: XCSoar versions prior to 6.3 don't have a working AH and as such are compliant with the US RC rules. There is no time pressure for us and whether we release 6.3 with a "competition version" or not will be decided when we release 6.3.

In addition I would not recommend to call it "competition version" because that might suggest that this version has additional competition-specific features. We are still looking for a proper name that expresses our opinion on this topic...

I would call it "Restricted", "Basic", something that makes it clear
that this is not full build.
