that anti-inflammatory agents - including aspirin - reduce the
incidence of mountain sickness during
rapid height gains - even to altitudes lower than those for which FAA
regulations state "Each pilot of an
unpressurized aircraft shall use oxygen continuously ... ." The
benefits of anti-inflammatory agents are
independent of lowered oxygen concentration.
