Just like any profession, I'm sure there are "better" and "worse" NTSB
investigators. And even the best undoubtedly have bad days.

Sounds like your experience was either with a "worse" investigator or a
good one on a bad day. Or something in between.

I only wanted to give my personal point of view that not all the
investigators are mindless bureaucrats. Some may be, but it's not a
given. This, actually, was something of a revelation to me which is why I
shared it.
