Having flown around 10 hours using the Vertica V1 with LK8000 in bright
sunlight (mostly) wearing sunglasses I can report it was highly readable
the whole time- as good as paper.
Reputedly the Vertica V2 uses the same screen as GliderGuider, and is
probably the same device sold through a different channel. As mentioned in
a previous post, it's promised by the end of August. My experience of
Vertica as a supplier (and the work I know is being done by the LK8000
team) suggests the promise will be met.

I have seen the display on this unit at Glider Guider and it is very

As an alternative - take a look at www.gliderguider.net
It runs mSeeYou, LK-8000 and more!
Does the Oudie 2 still have the track smoothing problem?
I dont know Richard, but if its using the *Atlas GPS chipset there is no
way to dissable Track Smoothing (and a bunch of other stuff).
Kind regards
