OK, I know this has been beat to death in the past.... WHich is
better, leaning rich of peak or lean of peak??? I could've sworn my
old mechanic said lean of peak, but while talking to the mechanic
during annual, he suggested/encouraged rich of peak. For what it's
worth, I'm flying an IO 470... The difference between the 2 options
is about 4 gallons /hour...
Thaks in advance for your opinions/comments...
Peak or lean of peak (generally) for me. Run 65% power or less and
Continental says that you can't hurt the engine by being too lean. Have you
read Deacon's articles on engine operation?
Have you got a reference or link for this (Deacon's)? - interested.
