Default Calling all Badge pilots!

Claim Check – an Excel-based spreadsheet – provides a comprehensive
analysis of FAI badge flights in 2 minutes or less. Now, with new Sporting
Code rules effective 1 October 2012, a newly updated Claim Check version
1.15 and two new utilities are available at

http://www.badgeflight.com/downloads.html

Read more about Claim Check’s capabilities, technical notes, etc at

Claim Check versions 1.0 and 1.1 incorporated the major changes effective 1
October 2012. New in version 1.15:

-- User Guide update - policy decision effective 1 October 2012 now permits
e-mailed or web-submitted written declarations for badge claims.

-- Spreadsheet revisions: (1) corrected transfer of 23rd saved Way Point to
written declaration form; (2) Workbook “A” photo screen replaced by
logo; (3) Workbook “A” data file selection procedure now waits for
valid selection; (4) Workbook “C” save electronic document options
expanded to include PDF, XPS or MS Word; (5) When using saved Way Points in
a written declaration, re-calculation automatic with change in coordinate
format.

-- New utilities:

(1) ‘I Declare’ is designed for web-based declarations. Data may be
entered manually or based on prior data entry at ‘My Defaults’ and
‘Saved Way Points’ pages. Submission options: by smart phone photo &
web app; or by computer, via electronic document (PDF, XPS, or Word); or by
screen shot user-pasted into any MS compatible document.

(2) ‘Way Point Manager’ creates and updates lists in either or both
‘Claim Check’ and/or ‘I Declare’. Use it to (1) migrate an
existing Saved Way Point list from an archived spreadsheet to a newly
updated version; and (2) select & copy new Way Points from the World Wide
Soaring Turn Point Exchange at http://soaringweb.org/TP.
