A former colleague of mine told me that when he was flying Hunters at
Chivenor, he was asked if he would like to be part of the group that
Roger Topp was putting together for the mass formation loop. He turned
down the invitation because he thought it was too dangerous, not having
enough faith in all his fellow pilots.
