I believe this was actually the prototype Fulmar, which is now in the
Fleet Air Arm Museum. I remember seeing it flown at a Leuchars Battle
of Britain day in about 1960. It was in its wartime camouflage and I
have a slide somewhere of it parked beside one of the station's (then)
new Lightnings. While it was at Lossiemouth, it served for a while as a
Gate Guard alongside the Hellcat, also in the FAA museum. Its original
serial was N1854.
