The turbulence sequence probably wasn't planned- after all, how often do we fly into rough air on purpose?

It's amazing how much neat video was discovered while reviewing the footage.. Often we found things we really had no idea were happening while flying. Lots of that had to do with not having actual camera feed in the cockpit much of the time. It was only on the flights later in the game that we had an actual monitor and someone who could watch it while the pilot did the flying.
