The "damping" is probably a result of the Sony CX760's built in gyro stabilization lagging slightly behind the wing flexing. In the past, using non-stabilized cameras, the wing flex in turbulence resulted in a much shakier and jerkier motion that did not look all that good on video. The gyro stabilization of the CX760 translated into a smoother action, while still showing wing flex.
