FlightRadar24 too good to be true?
It looks like a really fun app to while away the time, but I don't think you
want to be relying in something like that for traffic avoidance.
I don't know what the resolution is, but judging by the pictures on the Play
Store, a wingspan is several miles across. Where is the actual aircraft in
that? You'd be much better served placing your smart phone (when you
finally get one) into "Airplane Mode" when you fly and spend more time
looking outside. Besides, it's prettier out the window!

Smartphones almost never have data coverage in the air. This isn't going
to be useful flying a glider at all. Same is true for smartphone weather
