Default InReach Aviation Plan

Hi Ramy,

Good question.

The prices for the aviation plan went up a bit, but I think that is mainly
because the GEOS 24/7 SOS monitoring service was formerly an extra cost
adder and is not included. I'm not happy that the costs went up, but I like
that some of the hidden fees are no longer hidden.

I like that now it is possible to suspend aviation plan for only $5/month
during the non-flying season. That is a great deal here in Minnesota! It
is free to suspend the Freedom plan for any number of months.

I like that for pilots that are OK with 10 minute updates, the Freedom and
Annual Contract plans offer reasonably priced service with unlimited
tracking. That was not an option in the past.

Note: I don't sell the service plans. I don't get any income from the
service plans. I only sell (and fly with) the hardware.

Best Regards,

Paul, can you clarify why you are very happy with the change? I see nearly
100% increase in the aviation plan 1 charge. Sure it is only few bucks more
per month, but this translates to nearly twice the annual cost, or at least
twice than spot. What am I missing?
I am not saying the added benefit of the inReach vs Spot does not justify
the extra cost, but it does come now with significant increase.
