Too much stuff to do and it requires a windows 98 computer.

So it has to be sent back to Germany.

Germany isn't the only place that has Windows 98 computers, Richard. What else would I need? :-)

Steve,

The whole process requires taking the GPS module apart and replacing a small battery, then initializing the GPS with a terminal program windows 98 the replacing the main battery in the Volkslogger and resetting the security seal with a newer computer.

The seal reset has to be done by a SSA approved Calibration Lab.

And after this you would still have an old Volkslogger, they were good in their day but lots better solutions available now.

I decided that it was not in my best interest to put labor into an old Volkslogger. My experience especially with the round connector ones has not been good too much corrosion etc.

Thanks,

Richard,

Sorry I couldn't find my "in jest" font, Richard. I am trying to decide what to do with all of my Cambridge Model 20 and 25 loggers that have a dead GPS battery. Other than paint them yellow and use them as wheel chocks.
