Yaaas... The monsoon. I haven't seen enough rain yet to make the
pavement soft!

I'll bite!

There generally is a summertime "monsoon season" throughout the Rocky
Mountain region. I'm reliably informed by Moriarty locals that the
powdery reddish stuff commonly blown about there and often entrained
in dust devils isn't "dust" but "enchantment." When enchantment gets
wet, I doubt the locals call it "mud" but have a far more positive
euphemism!
