Default UK2 XM607 Avro Vulcan1982-05-01 AscensionIsland.jpg

On May 1, 1982 we had a Vulcan at the McChord AFB (near Tacoma, WA,
USA) open house. As he took off for his display, the announcer broke
the news of the 'Black Buck' raid earlier that day. My distant,
indirect brush with history.
