You're the only one that sees it as 'me'. When I post from my g-mail account, that's how I appear to me. It's a Google thing.

There are a couple of free NNTP (USENET) servers out there that don't behave that way, news.eternal-september.org and nntp.aioe.org, that require a newsreader client to use.
